Sustainability
At Trinzo, we understand the need to address our environmental and social impacts and see it not only as our responsibility but as a strategic imperative for long-term success.
Through the support of Enterprise Ireland, and partnering with Antaris – a leading sustainability consultancy company, we secured a GreenStart grant to develop a sustainability strategy and action plan. By embedding sustainability into our business, we are creating positive value not just for ourselves but also our clients, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders across the supply chain.
Our aim is to implement our strategy through a dedicated action plan under our ESG team, with support from Leadership to ensure resources are available throughout the lifetime of the sustainability strategy. This is a cross-functional team with representatives from all areas of the organisation who will collaborate and innovate to progress in our sustainability journey.
Our Commitment
Adhering to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we have prioritised 5 SDGs. These goals will directly contribute and focus our sustainability efforts so that as a company, we can achieve the greatest impact. The following SDGs were selected following a materiality assessment, assessing the company’s current challenges, in particular as we scale our operations and introduce new technologies.
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development
Trinzo has also committed to conducting an EcoVadis assessment for accountability purposes and to ensure our efforts meet international best practice.
2024 and Beyond
We kickstarted the process in early 2024 by formalising our governance structure to ensure the action plan can be implemented across the organisation.
We will focus our early actions on governance by developing the necessary policies that will function as a backbone for our company’s efforts in embedding sustainability as a strategic part of our business. We are constantly reviewing our policies and ensuring they’re in line with industry best practice.
In relation to the environment and our decarbonisation efforts, we remain steadfast in our commitment to track current emissions, benchmarking against our peers and leaders in the industry by implementing policies that will support our sustainability goals as we scale in the years ahead.
Socially, the priority actions will centre around employee awareness training, employee engagement and charity work.
