Sleep Out to Raise Funds for COPE Galway
Galway, Ireland: This December, leaders from Trinzo and Meddev Solutions will brave the cold and join the 2023 COPE Galway Business Leaders Sleep Out to raise vital funds for homeless services in Galway.
On Friday, 1 December, local business leaders will leave behind the comfort of their homes to sleep on the streets of Galway with just a sleeping bag. Braving the cold winter weather this year is Trinzo’s Celia Moloney, Recruitment and Staffing Lead and Meddev Solutions’ Katie Cooney, Training Centre of Excellence Lead.
“With homelessness at an all-time high and 1 in 4 women experiencing domestic abuse, it’s important to support charities like COPE Galway who directly and positively impact the lives of individuals at risk and give people a chance for a better life,” explained Katie.

The Sleep Out is held every year as a response to the rising levels of homelessness across Galway. The cost-of-living crisis is proving extremely challenging for so many across our community. With property prices spiralling out of control, it’s never been harder for anyone without a home to find an affordable place to live. This, in turn, puts further pressure on COPE Galway’s services.
“COPE Galway is built on very similar values to Trinzo – understanding, respect and response. The services that they provide are crucial to our community, supporting men, women and children who are vulnerable and in need of support,’’ explained Celia.

The funds raised will allow COPE Galway to continue to develop and expand innovative services to support children, women and men while they remain in temporary or transitionary accommodation for extended periods of time over the year ahead.
